"Not at the same time". (2024)

Performance.

No Hevdem Collective

This event featured performances and fixed-media works that were developed through remote asynchronous collaborations. The performance was presented as part of the Sonorities Festival Belfast 2024.

During the project, conversations were held, sites explored, dreams reoccurred, non-migratory birds were recruited, a shared archive was created, and, metaphorically speaking, the theatre on the other side of town was on fire, signifying intense, perhaps chaotic, creativity.

No Hevdem was a new collective of artists who connected Sonorities Festival Belfast with SPACE21 in Kurdistan-Iraq, featuring:

• Khabat Abas

• Mohammed Ali

• Hadi Bastani

• Emily DeDakis

• Adam Denton

• Bryar Ismaeel

• Hardi Kurda

• Rodrigo Romero Flores

• Paul Stapleton

• Georgios Varoutsos

This project was supported by the British Council in Northern Ireland and Iraq.
